A skirt in Winter: it’s Paris

A sunny morning in Paris, it just doesn’t get any better does it? It felt like Spring, while it was still middle of the Winter so I HAD to go out. We got up, had breakfast and went to Palais Royal on our crappy bikes ( one day you’re visiting Hermes Maison and the next day you loose all your dignity on a foldable bike). I was all geared up for some museum hopping but, as we soon found out, they were closed. Damn you Armani for wanting to show your new collection there. Making me even more aware I had to

While in Paris: new sale buy

Parisian streets, buildings and balconies are instantly recognisable. And no matter what you are wearing, your surroundings will influence the level of chicness. I’m typing this while I’m sitting in a huge suite of Hotel Balmoral and it’ll be hard to leave behind. Trying to buy less, but these buys were unavoidable

Did you know that 50% of our happiness depends on our own behavior and the choices we make in life? I find this such a strange idea. When I think about my own level of happiness, it feels pretty stable. I really can’t remember feeling significantly happier or unhappier. Does that sound boring? A bit right? How to reach goals by fooling yourself

I made the same new years resolution for several years: opening myself up while doing things out of my comfort zone. And I failed every single year… I did do things out of my comfort zone, but once I was out there- in unfamiliar territory – I completely shut down. Turns out: I just simply can’t do it (that’s why I stopped making those new years resolutions and will only be focussing on being as happy as possible, that -at least- I can do ;). And I know I’m not the only one: somehow we think we will be more perfect

New years resolution: just one

Happiness: I think it’s safe to say it’s the number one goal for most of us. Being successful or seeing a 6 figure number on your bank account won’t do the trick. Sure, living a comfortable life without having to worry about money for groceries and rent is kind of a necessary fundamental. But once you’ve got the basics covered, money won’t really make you happy. But what will? Well, I did some research and read numerous psychological journals in between coffee and lunch breaks these last few weeks. The nerd in me has awoken and I can’t wait to share
