Working from home: changing things

Since being a full time entrepreneur I spend more days working from home. Of course that’s great: there’s nothing more relaxing as following your own pace and eating/drinking/wearing whatever you want. Not that I’m stress free, there are still deadlines (And I didn’t turn into an alcoholic either, I meant making your own smoothies. Of course.). But the first two weeks I took it a bit too far. I wore a sweater that was starting to pill, some jeans and woolen socks. And I had a hard time convincing myself to do my hair and make-up as well. To sum it up: I looked like a mess. And it didn’t make me feel good. I felt like it was Sunday on repeat and somehow that made me less energetic and productive.

So I decided to change things and start dressing the part! I turned the heat up and wore my new sandals (ignoring cold and rain), Calvin Klein class watch and beyond jewelry set (jewelry just makes any outfit better, doesn’t it). I still dress uber comfortable. Nobody really cares, so I’m not going to be uncomfortable just for the sake of it. But I just feel much better when I wear a few items I really love. O, and I redecorated the workspace a bit. Added an overload of plants, a cork bench and some drawers to our shelving system to hide the mess of mails and notes. Change is good!
