“I was interested in exploring Victorian styling without recreating a Victorian house or replicating old designs” (source: theage.com.au). When I saw the house of Glenn Lamont I was instantly impressed! He takes maximum advantage of the space he has even if it’s not that big. “When designing a home, less is always more,” he says. “Building spaces is one thing, but making small spaces work with unique objects and furniture is often very challenging. You need to keep it simple, and true to a narrative – whatever that story may be.” So true, but oh so difficult. It took me a while to decide were my dining table should be placed and how the (large) couch would work best in the small space I have. Seeing this house inspires me to finally put some energy in decorating and finishing my workspace. Back to work it is!
