There’s not really much of an interior to spot inside this container gallery, but I loved the exterior so much that I had to share it with you guys! How awesome is a home like this! The architects used old marine containers: two cut in half and one on top, creating a little courtyard by leaving some space between the two halves. They encountered one problem though: Japanese regulations won’t allow you to use containers as an official living space. In the end the architects decided to solve this problem by building a wooden frame and treating the containers as a ‘skin’. Since there are still a lot of marine containers left and are considered excessive stock, I think they are on to something!
