London based designer Ilse Crawford & Ikea joined forces. Crawford’s “simple mission to put human needs and desires at the centre of all that she does” seems to match perfectly with Ikea’s products. The end result of this collaboration is impressive (I want it all!). The Sinnerlig collection consists of 30 products made out of natural materials such as cork. The pictures with an overload of plants and greenhouse vibe, makes it much easier for me to envision our new garden. I’m in the middle of making new plans for our mess that we call a garden and these pictures exactly translate the vague ideas that are whirling around in my head. Good thing it’s Ikea, cause renovating our garden will cost enough bucks as it is…

The Sinnerlig collection will be available august 2015, so we have to be a bit patient. Especially difficult since I’m super curious to the quality of the pieces in real life.
This quote that you can find on Crawford’s site gives us high hopes though: “Creating environments where humans feel comfortable; public spaces that make people feel at home and homes that are habitable and make sense for the people who live in them. It means designing furniture and products that support and enhance human behaviour and actions in everyday life. It means restoring the human balance in brands and businesses that have lost their way.”
Are you just as curious or is this collaboration not your thing?
