Johnny Kangasniemi for Elle Finland

Although Finland is often overshadowed by their neighbor Sweden (for a country this small, it’s absurd to think about what they are producing… From Acne to Ikea and H&M), but Finland is getting more and more known on the fashion scene as well. Design brand Marimekko for example, that has paved the way for many designers. And when I started looking for editorials shot by Finnish photographers, I saw some beautiful editorials while browsing. Turns out most of those editorials were shot by Johnny Kangasniemi. A pretty big name on the international fashion market; his client list includes H&M and i-D (to name just a few). This editorial was shot for Elle Finland and is a perfect example of his trademark: a delicate style that pushes the boundaries of conventional fashion photography. And the styling by Sakke Hytonen is pretty neat as well: love the looks above and the oversized sweaters of the second shot below. Perfect fall transition looks!
