Why is it that when you begin renovating a home and work on it for more than a year with al your devotion, somehow all the small things never get finished. I’m talking about fixing the lights on the attic, baseboards (somewhere in a home there is always mysteriously missing a baseboard or two) and that one door that is still in desperate need of a lick of paint. Unless the rest of human kind has their lives fixed and I’m the only one with an ‘almost-finished-but-not-quite’ home of course…

But I’m just going to assume I’m not the only one out there (ego and all). And we are getting there eventually, last month we finally fixed the lights for the attic and kitchen (let’s not talk about the door okay ;). I already bought some lights for the attic months ago, but after I saw how good they looked in the kitchen I was indecisive. But as some of you saw a few weeks ago, I scored some pretty good lights in sale. Those moved to the attic and the lamps I wanted so bad for the kitchen finally found their spot. The first lights I fixed myself! Whoop! So here are some snapshots. Not the best pictures as it was a pretty difficult corner to take pictures but hey, at least our home is lamp proof now!
