Last week I entered the Monki store for the first time (ever!). And although I didn’t expect anything, I bumped into this leather dress for €20,-. Yep, another bargain. It got me thinking though: what price tag do we put on the life of animals? Luckily Monki makes sure all their leather is a byproduct of the meat industry, but truth to be told: I only found out after I bought it. Which is kind of strange considering my boyfriend and I always make sure our eating habits are as durable and animal friendly as possible. But when I buy clothes all this doesn’t even comes to mind. Things need to change though, I should actually start using my brain when shopping and shut of those ‘ooo, I want’ emotions…
