Last week I had the pleasure to pay a visit to the oral surgeon. After 4 years of procrastination – and almost feeling guilty I had to tell my dentist once again that I still hadn’t removed my wisdom teeth – I could no longer deny it and made an appointment. Scared as hell because I’ve had my fair share of oral surgery horrors, I nervously made the first visit in the beginning of October. Within 15 minutes I was done and I felt almost esthetic, it went so smooth! I even didn’t need any pain medication the following hours and days.

My experience last week was quite the opposite however… I knew the last one wouldn’t come out that easy as it was crowing crooked and after hearing the oral surgeon saying he never saw such a -and I quote- “special” wisdom tooth, all my hope of easy recovery vanished. After a lot of drilling, 8 stitches (an estimated guess as they spend more time stitching than drilling, they even stitched a part of my cheek to another part of my cheek several inches above my jaw…) and a new life as a chipmunk I went home. Needless to say, the first thing I did was putting on the comfiest set I could find. This look was shot on day three (after almost two years of blogging I know how to hide any chipmunk characteristics), and I’m ashamed to say I indeed wore this outfit three days in a row. Yeah, the shower was my best friend…
