Vincent van Duysen

Fifteen minutes from the Belgium city Kortrijk, architect Vincent van Duysen renovated this old farmhouse. “I¬†wanted to reinterpret the classic Flemish country house” he says.

Although the materials he used are robust, the end result is minimal and modern. He calls the spirit of the house monastic, emphasizing that the house doesn’t need much. I certainly agree with that!
