What happens if you go plant shopping online…

Yes, that’s a mini pineapple in a plant! A world opened right before my eyes: the world of online plant shopping. Clothes, lighting, laptops, you name it and I order it online. Super convenient because you don’t have to drag whatever you bought home with you and even your 3 a.m. shopping spree will happen flawlessly. Considering these simple and officious facts makes it even stranger that I never thought of buying plants online before.

I randomly bought a few whenever I happened to bump into some good looking ones (also: several unwanted plants mysteriously ended up in my basket while shopping at Ikea). And since we Dutchies do almost everything by bike, the result of buying a 60cm cactus was a not so comfortable bike ride home. What a sharp contrast with ordering a bunch of plants while sitting behind your computer and opening your front door for the mailman! Why didn’t I think of this online-plant-shopping thing before?!

I ordered these plants (plus some hanging plants) at Plantje and my order arrived in perfect state. This isn’t a sponsored post by the way, I’m just hoping it’s a useful tip for some of you! Just be careful, I went a bit overboard and ordered 9 (!) plants. That’s the downfall of online shopping: virtual money and virtual plants convince your mind it’s aaall good…

I’m already considering one extra pineapple plant though. They’re just too darn cute.
